I grew up crappie fishing with my dad in northeastern Oklahoma using a short rod and small jigs.  The old theory of “for best sensitivity you have to use light equipment: rods, line and jigs” was about to be turned upside down.  After learning about vertical jigging and the benefits of using longer, stiffer rods, heavier jig heads and larger profile baits, my crappie catching has greatly improved.

I’m fortunate to have learned this technique from two premier crappie guides: Todd Huckabee and Barry Morrow.  My goal is to provide quality products to the crappie fishing industry that support Todd’s vertical jigging technique he has championed for so many years.
